The CBT (Computer-Based Test) is the first part of the NMC Test of Competence (ToC) for internationally educated nurses and midwives who wish to register and work in the United Kingdom.
The CBT is designed to test your theoretical and clinical knowledge in line with UK nursing standards. It evaluates whether you have the essential understanding of nursing care, public health, professional values, and evidence-based practice required to deliver safe and effective care in the UK.
It is administered online at Pearson VUE test centres located worldwide.

You must take the CBT if:

Structure of the CBT
The CBT consists of a multiple-choice test split into two main parts:

Part B: Clinical Theory
