They also watch closely to make sure you’re safe and professional because these matters just as much as technical skills. If you do something unsafe, it’s an automatic fail for that station — that’s called a “red flag.”

You must clear every station to pass the whole OSCE exam. If you only fail a few stations, you can resit those specific stations instead of the whole exam, which is a big help!

Since December 2023, there’s also a “Viva” option. That means at the end of one station, you might get to answer a quick question to fix a small mistake, like forgetting to sign your notes. But you can’t use this to fix anything unsafe or serious.
